Working In Uncertainty

For some years I have been delivering lectures on two MSc courses in risk management at the University of Southampton, and in 2013 I helped deliver a new course for undergraduates from across the university. I also regularly supervise MSc students as they work on their dissertations, which are original research projects.

Supervising dissertations is a lot like individual technical tutoring. It involves a number of one-to-one sessions over a period of time, completely focused on what the learner needs to know, and it involves giving feedback on their work. I have learned a lot from doing this.
